Terms and Conditions of Let for Glenbeag Mountain Lodges
THE CONTRACT
The Contract for a short-term holiday rental will be between the Owners of Glenbeag Mountain Lodges (referred to as “GML” “us” or “we”) and the person making the booking and all members of the holiday party (referred to as “you”, “your”, “guests”) under the following booking conditions. Scottish law will govern the Contract. The Contract will be subject to these booking conditions and must be complied with. The person whose name is on the booking form (referred to as the “Responsible Person”) agrees to take full responsibility for ensuring that all the following Terms and Conditions are adhered to by all members of the party. The Responsible Person must personally stay at the accommodation throughout the holiday and be at least 18 years of age at the time of booking. The names, address and ages of all members of the party are required upon booking.
BOOKING
When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise after receipt of payment when your booking is subsequently confirmed by email or post.
PAYMENT
A deposit of 1/3 of the holiday cost is due on booking. The balance of the rental is due for payment 30 days before the arrival date. You will be sent email notification that the balance is due. Full payment is required If the booking is made within 30 days of the arrival date. Payments should be made by debit or credit card. We reserve the right to cancel a booking where the balance payment has not been received 30 days before arrival date, in which case the deposit is non- refundable.
CANCELLATION
Cancellations must be immediately notified to us by email and the property will be re-advertised. The deposit is non-refundable.
Cancellations made 30 days or more before arrival: A 66% refund will be made.
Cancellations made less than 30 days before arrival: If the accommodation is re-let at the full rate, a 66% refund will be made, if the re-let is at a lesser rate a smaller % refund will be made, if not re-let no refund will be due.
Guests are reimbursed following the departure date of the original booking. Please note that for winter lets, there is no change in the above policy in the event of there being no snow for snow sports. To safeguard against cancellation and unforeseen eventualities, holiday cancellation insurance is strongly recommended. A change of holiday dates is treated as a cancellation.
CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE CONTROL OF GML (FORCE MAJEURE)
If for any reason we have to cancel your booking in advance due to circumstances beyond our control for example fire, flood, exceptional weather conditions, epidemics, destruction/damage to the property (“force majeure“) you will be offered another stay at GML.
LIABILITY
GML and representatives shall not be liable to you or your party for loss, damage or injury to you or any of your party or your/their property or vehicles as a consequence of this agreement or the occupancy following thereon. You indemnify GML against loss, damage or injury sustained to the property or any persons as a result of any breach of these conditions or arising from the fault of you or any member of your party.
RIGHT OF ENTRY
We shall be allowed reasonable right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repairs or maintenance.
ACCURACY OF DETAILS
The website and brochure are as accurate as possible but cannot be warranted, nor do the descriptions form any contract. Whilst every effort is made to ensure accuracy of property descriptions and images, the facilities and services may alter. We reserve the right to alter or improve any of the subjects without notice.
ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE
The rental period is from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure unless other arrangements have been agreed with GML.
ON DEPARTURE
On vacating, the customer is expected to leave the cabin in a clean and tidy condition. An extra cleaning charge will be made if accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition and GML reserves the right to process a damage and excess cleaning charge following guest’s departure.
CARE OF THE PROPERTY
You are responsible for the property and are expected to take all reasonable care of its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects, in or on the property. You undertake to leave the property secure if left unoccupied during the period of let. You must not use the properties for any dangerous, offensive, noxious, noisy, immoral activities or carry on there any act that may be a nuisance or annoyance to the owner or other neighbouring properties. Any unreasonable behaviour may result in GML asking guests to leave. You are responsible for ensuring that all members of the party are aware of the advice points and conditions of use of the hot tub and sauna.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A security deposit may be levied dependent on the makeup of the hirer’s party. This is by way of a pre authorisation on the guests debit or credit card. The total sum or part of this sum shall be forfeit should any damage to the property fitments furniture or equipment occur or additional cleaning be required. The Proprietors shall be the sole arbiters of the cost of reparation. Parties occupying more than one cabin, persons under 25 years of age and single sex parties are likely to be required to provide a security deposit. Security Deposit amount to be notified to guest prior to booking confirmation.
NUMBER IN PARTY
The number of occupants during the hire period should not exceed the number indicated at the time of booking unless prior arrangements have been made with GML. This location is not for guests who want to party but is perfect for guests wanting a quiet get away from it all break. No Stag or Hen parties or large party groups. GML reserve the right to Abort / not Accept or cancel a booking at their own discretion.
ELECTRICITY and HEATING
Heating is by electric radiators, with Calor gas in Scotsview. Water heating is by a hot water immersion heater. The heating and the hot water immerser will be turned on prior to the guest’s arrival and the meter will be read at this time. Power to the hot tubs remains on at all times. Electricity is charged at cost price and guests are asked to provide a final meter reading at the end of their stay. Electricity consumed is payable on departure.
INTERNET ACCESS
WiFi is provided free of charge on a limited data and device basis. The hirer agrees to reasonable and lawful usage of this service. Speed is appropriate for email and internet browsing, limited data restricts streaming use. GML will not be responsible if the network fails or signal strength drops as this is out of our control.
PETS
House trained dogs only, are welcome in Benearb and Clashmore and must be kept under proper control. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture or into sleeping accommodation nor left unattended in the property. Dog owners will be responsible for any damage caused to the property, contents or garden by their dog and for any extra cleaning required. There is a charge of £2 per dog per night. Maximum of 3 dogs per property. Dogs should be kept under control and on a leash where sheep or cattle are grazing. GML do not accept liability for the safety of pets. Owners are asked to ensure that dogs do not foul the cut grass areas and that all traces of their presence is removed from the property before departure.
WATER
Our private water supply is from a mountain stream and passes through a “Point of Entry” filtration and Ultra Violet cleaning system. The water is tested by Perth & Kinross Environmental Health in line with EEC (European) regulations. Although the quality of water is usually acceptable for drinking, under certain circumstances the quality may be lower than you would expect from a public supply. Notwithstanding that the supply has been tested, you may prefer to boil water for drinking, or use bottled water. For babies, water should always be boiled.
HOT TUBS and SAUNAS
Hot tubs and Saunas are used at the hirers own risk. All operating instructions must be read before usage. Hot Tub Disclaimer, Safety and Usage Guidelines must be read and agreed before Hot Tub usage. www.glenbeag.co.uk/hot-tub-disclaimer
We ask guests to treat the hot tubs/ saunas with care and follow the guidance sheets provided. Every effort is made to ensure that the hot tubs and saunas are operating during the period of the stay, however in certain circumstances this may not be possible. Please do not book with GML because of the HOT TUB alone as with all things mechanical / electrical they do break down. A break down is out with our control. We will of course try to remedy the situation as soon as possible but it may take some time to find parts and repair the Hot Tub. Please be aware this may not happen before the end of your stay. Maintenance and cleaning of the Hot Tubs has to be done on a regular basis, guests please be aware due to this the Hot Tub may not be ready for use on your arrival.
SMOKING
For the comfort of all our guests, all GML properties are non- smoking , (including electronic cigarettes) , however we are happy for guests to smoke outside the properties. There is no smoking in the hot tub.
FIREWORKS and CANDLES
Inside and outside the properties are not permitted due to danger of fire, and damage to furniture, hot tub etc.
COMPLAINTS
Every effort has been made to ensure you have an enjoyable holiday at GML. If anything is not to your satisfaction it is essential that you contact us immediately in order that the matter can be resolved. It is essential you contact GML during your stay, we value your custom and wish you to return.
AMENDMENTS
GML reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions of Let at any time.
